Transitioning to a 100% raw food diet is quickly becoming the best thing in my life. Just thinking of all of the yummy greens and fruits I will be enjoying makes the change worth it. Smelling and seeing processed, cooked foods makes me nauseous. I don’t even recall how I came across my newfound lifestyle but I am glad I did. I love reading about raw and living foods and I love talking about it. It somehow makes it easier if I believe it more. However, I don’t want to become a preachy raw foodist.
Transitioning is very crucial because of all of the toxins your body releases so starting to make small dietary changes is important. “Hunger” headaches used to be such a problem for me but now that I have read that they are just your mind playing tricks on you I can overcome them. I try to wait until I feel really hungry. I’ve been starting off my morning by drinking 100% carrot juice. It is so delicious and hopefully it will help with my eyesight. I haven’t eaten meat in a while so now I just have to cut out dairy and processed foods while still eating small amounts of it to not make my body go into shock.
Today I started incorporating raw foods into my lunch. Kristine and I tried out Leaf Cuisine in Culver City. I had a yummy guacamole wrap made of: avocados tomatoes, mixed greens, and sprouts all wrapped in a big leaf. I also ordered a tall glass of carrot juice. It is a quick, affordable place and it is conveniently on my way to work. I see many trips there in my future.
